It is the policy of Arthurstown Construction that its operations are executed and managed at all times to ensure that the highest standards of health and safety are achieved.
Health and safety is a fundamental and core management responsibility at all levels in the organisation. We have developed a safety management system of method statements and risk assessments for individual tasks. These are based on our experience of hazard and risk. We are constantly evaluating and updating these policies and we have a system of continual improvement in place.
We have a comprehensive safety statement that is available on request and all our operatives are trained with a minimum of Safe Pass and Manual Handling training. In addition, the company employs a full time safety officer to manage our health and safety systems.
In recognition of the company’s health and safety management performance and standards, the company has been granted Safe-T Cert Accreditation firstly in February 2010 and we were upgraded again during our audit in February 2011. Safe T cert is an independent certification of health and safety management systems for the construction industry and the certification is audited annually to ensure that the highest standards are met.
Our health and safety policy is one of continuous improvement and we pride ourselves on the monitoring and achievement of these at all times.
We also promote an environmentally aware policy within our work practices with an awareness of energy efficiency and conscientious use and disposal of material.
